With the rapid development of the petroleum and chemical industries, the construction scale and management level of China's chemical parks have been continuously improved. According to incomplete statistics, in 2011, there were nearly 1,000 chemical industry parks in China, in key chemical parks at or above the provincial level in the country, or in industrial parks dominated by petroleum and chemical industries, and enterprises above designated size accounted for 1/1 of the total number of petroleum and chemical companies in the country. 3. As an important growth pole of the “energy triangle†in Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, and Gansu, Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base has formed three leading industries of coal, electricity, and coal chemical industry. On the forum, Yuan Jiajun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Committee, particularly stated that the Ningdong Base, as an emerging coal chemical industry park, should promote advanced development of the Park. He believes that chemical parks that are more scientific, intensive, and more prominent in their development models will lay a firmer foundation for their own survival and development.
Yuan Longhua, deputy director of the Department of Raw Materials Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, disclosed at the meeting that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is currently organizing relevant units to actively carry out research on the access of green chemical parks. It will be released in due course after the research is mature to promote the standardized development of chemical parks.
The petrochemical federation has completed the “Comprehensive Evaluation Index System of China Chemical Industry Park†and conducted a new exploration for the systematic construction of the park. Yang Ting, secretary-general of the Petrochemical Association Parks Committee, said that the evaluation indicators will provide data support for the decision-making of relevant state departments and will strongly promote the standardization of the chemical park.
