Water is heated to generate water vapor, which drives the turbine to turn the generator to generate electricity.

Concentrating solar power is different from solar cells. Solar cells use solar panels to convert solar energy directly into electricity. They can be operated on cloudy days. CSPs can only be used in sunny and sunny places.

However, even in the absence of the sun, the use of molten salt to store heat can now solve the problem of all-weather power supply.

The predictions of the International Energy Agency (IEA) SolarPACES, the European Solar Thermal Power Generation Association (ESTELA) and Greenpeace are more moderate, and CSP will account for 3%-3.6% of global energy supply by 2030, by 2050. It accounts for 8%-11.8%, which means that by 2050, CSP installed capacity will reach 830GW, adding 41GW per year. In the next 5-10 years, the cumulative annual growth rate will reach 17%-27%.
