A few days ago, Caterpillar Oil & Gas introduced a new C175-16 generator set that meets IMO Tier II emissions requirements. The unit is rated at 2800 bkW (3755 bhp) / 2660 ekW at 1800 rpm. The new generator set meets the most stringent safety requirements for emergency use and meets the basic requirements for main power and offshore drilling platforms.
While meeting emission standards, the new C175-16 generator set is equipped with a high-pressure electronic injection unit that maximizes fuel economy and performance. The C175-16 generator set has a 25 degree static and dynamic tilt capability for the most demanding environments. When designing this new generator set, Caterpillar Oil & Gas considered the limited space available to users for offshore drilling platforms. The overall size and weight of the generator set adds significant benefits to the user.

Desulfurization Magnesium Oxide
The primary by-product of Magnesium Oxide for desulfurization in power plants is magnesium sulfate, because the reaction product of flue gas desulfurization is magnesium sulfite and magnesium sulfate, and the comprehensive utilization value is high. On the one hand, we can carry out forced oxidation to produce magnesium sulfate, and then sell it by concentration and purification to produce Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate. On the other hand, the advantage of desulfurization in power plants is that the capital cost is low, the operation cost is low, and the desulfurization effect can be as high as 98% or more. Therefore, the magnesium oxide desulfurization technology will gradually become more widely used.
