China-Israel National International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Special Project Accepted Acceptance

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On November 13, 2017, the acceptance review meeting for the National Special Project for International Science and Technology Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology under the Changchun Optical Engine was held in the conference room on the 5th floor of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics. Entrusted by the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the International Cooperation Department of the Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province organizes the implementation and Guan Lihong, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Science and Technology Department presides over the meeting. Seven experts from Dalian University of Technology, Jilin University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Northeast Normal University, Changchun University of Technology, and Changchun New Industry Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. attended the evaluation.

Acceptance of the project will be on-site defense and discussion

At the meeting, Chang Laiming, Director of the International Cooperation Division of Changchun Guangji Institute, warmly welcomed the above-mentioned personnel. The project leader Wu Yihui made a project acceptance report on behalf of the project team.

The cooperation special project is a project cooperation between the Changchun Optical Engine Institute and the University of Tel Aviv, Israel, based on the research of both biological sensing and interference imaging. Chinese research reveals the coupling of optical fiber modes, the interaction mechanism between scattered fields and evanescent fields, the detection of typical cancer markers and cardiac markers, and the study of optical and thermal phase interferometric imaging systems and metal nanoparticle optimization. Cooperatively solved the problem of nanoparticle-modified optical biosensing and calibration, and successfully completed the project's expected indicators.

Through the implementation of the project, both China and Israel have established mutual trust and cooperation and exchange channels, and established a complementary and stable win-win cooperation mechanism with high-sensitivity optical fiber biosensors, forming a good Sino-Israel academic cooperation and exchange environment for the realization of optical fiber. Biosensors lay a good foundation for early diagnosis and prognosis monitoring of major diseases such as cancer. After detailed and careful review, the expert team fully affirmed the completion of the project and its practical application. The members of the expert group unanimously voted on the acceptance of the project. It is suggested that both parties further advance the practical application of the project results.
