1. The motor of the power head is faulty.

There are many types of faults in Rotork electric actuators, as follows:

The actuator works, but there is no valve position indication, check the counter, the circular magnet may be broken or the counter plate is broken;

The remote control of the actuator is normal. If the local control is "actuator alarm", replace the local control board;

The display valve position does not match the actual valve position. After resetting the limit, the action is several times, or drift occurs, and the counter board should be replaced;

The actuator is operating normally, but there is no valve position feedback. The amount of 22/23 circuit is only about 1~3mA. Reset, does not work, replace the servo + position return board;

In the remote control adjustment state, the up and down swing cannot be positioned, and the "dead zone adjustment parameter Fd" can be increased. However, if the parameter is increased to 20 or more and does not swing, the servo (+ position return) plate can be replaced;

When the Rotork electric actuator is hand/automatic, the valve position is not changed and the feedback does not change. The “limit ON/OFF LO/LC” parameter cannot be set. The motherboard is broken and the motherboard is replaced.

2, the motor head actuator failure

Such failures include the internal bushing of Rotork electric actuators being stuck, slipping or loosening, resulting in no output of the valve stem; the actuator oil is dry and the valve is stuck. The handling of such faults requires offline removal and overhaul. The hand automatic clutch circlip is stuck in the manual direction, causing the manual to be normal, and the electric cannot be switched.

3, power supply failure alarm

For example, when the power supply is turned on, but the background light of the Rotork electric actuator display does not light, the valve position indicator does not light; the three-phase power supply will trip, and the three-phase power supply can be checked for normality, and the actuator Whether the nominal voltage on the nameplate matches, check whether the actuator fuse has been blown or the motherboard power cord is loose, and the motor insulation is judged to determine whether the motor is burned or not.

4. The motor head setting parameters are improper or the main control alarm is faulty.

For example, if the torque of the torque type electric head is set too small, the valve is not closed tightly, and an internal leakage fault is formed; or when the full opening/full closing is performed, the valve stem and the valve body may collide. This type of fault can be quickly handled by re-setting the appropriate Rotork electric actuator parameters online using the setter.

In addition, the low voltage of the 9V battery inside the IQ type electric head will also cause more main control alarm faults. This type of fault can be handled by replacing the battery and resetting the parameters.
