Yunnan Provincial Party Committee Secretary: Do everything possible to ensure the safety of the people

On September 7, after the 5.7-magnitude earthquake at the junction of Yiliang County, Zhaotong City, and Weining County, Guizhou Province, the provincial party committee and provincial government leaders attached great importance to it. Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Director of Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Qin Guangrong, Provincial Party Committee Li Jiheng, deputy secretary and governor, immediately deployed and asked the provincial and Zhaotong municipality to immediately launch an emergency plan and start seeking assistance. Provincial-level relevant departments formed a working group and quickly rushed to the earthquake-stricken area to guide earthquake relief efforts; earthquake, land, and meteorological departments strengthened Monitoring, early-warning and forecasting, preventing secondary disasters, and doing everything possible to ensure the safety of life and property of the people; Zhaotong City and Yanliang County Party Committee and government organizations are responsible for quickly checking the disaster situation.
