It is reported that the total investment of the Dongfeng Xiaokang Qingyuan mini vehicle production base is 1 billion yuan, and the first phase will be put into production by December 31, 2010.

Qingyuan base has three major advantages

According to the Investment Agreement of the Qingyuan Microcar Production Base Project, the total land area of ​​the Dongfeng Xiaokang Qingyuan Microcar Production Base is approximately 344 mu and the total investment is RMB 1.2 billion. The project is divided into two phases. The first phase investment is not less than 400 million yuan. The first phase will be completed and put into production before December 31, 2010, and the output value can be no less than 1.5 billion yuan. In order to attract this project, Qingyuan has also designated a special automobile industry city for the production of mini-vehicles. It is expected that 7 to 8 auto parts companies will produce auto parts in the park to form a micro-car production automobile industry with a scale of 1400 mu. city.

The person in charge of the Dongfeng Xiaokang Qingyuan mini vehicle production base stated that, unlike the company's other two production bases in Chongqing’s Jingkou and Shiyan, Hubei, the Qingyuan production base has unparalleled location and transportation advantages. First, Qingyuan's production base is close to Guangzhou and only one hour's drive from Guangzhou. The clustering advantage of Guangzhou's auto industry is irreplaceable in other places. Second, the geographic location is convenient for export. At present, Dongfeng Xiaokang Micro-car has exported several series of products to Europe and the United States. The vehicle produced in Qingyuan can pass through the Guangqing Expressway and can reach Guangzhou Port directly. Third, Guangdong has a relatively large market. “The top three sales in Guangdong are ranked among Dongfeng Xiaokang”. These are the reasons why Dongfeng Xiaokang favors Guangdong. Dongfeng Xiaokang's existing capacity is tight

Dongfeng Xiaokang Microcar already has two production bases in Hubei Shiyan and Chongqing Jingkou, with an existing production capacity of 200,000 vehicles. Currently, capacity expansion has been fully started. In June of this year, Dongfeng Xiaokang launched the 100,000 capacity expansion project at the Shiyan base. Within two years, the Shiyan base will form a production capacity of four major product lines and five major categories totaling 200,000 vehicles. At the same time, the 100,000 capacity expansion projects of the Chongqing headquarters are also under construction and are expected to be completed by the end of this year and will be put into operation next year. In the coming year, Dongfeng Xiaokang will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 vehicles.
