The extraction process of molybdenum is a production process in which molybdenum ore is crushed, floated and enriched, and its chemical composition meets the technical standard of molybdenum concentrate, which is converted into pure molybdate or other uses by wet smelting. Specifically, the luminance is made of molybdenum concentrate roasting the oxidized industrial MoO 3, MoO 3 and then pressed into briquettes, the additive can be used directly or molybdenum steel MoO 3 using the metal melting furnace method or a thermal reduction process, refined into steel molybdenum for molybdenum additives. In addition, the main extraction is the conversion of molybdenum concentrate to pure molybdate. The process has a traditional old process called an improved process; there are also new and advanced processes that have been successfully tested in recent years, called modern new processes. During the period of the 1960s and 1970s, almost 90% of the world's pure molybdenum compounds were produced using classical techniques or improved processes. In the late 1980s, especially in the early 1990s, due to the successful research on new wet smelting processes for molybdenum extraction, And gradually transferred to industrial production, the original molybdenum concentrate was calcined into industrial MoO 3 , and the process of wet extraction of pure molybdenum compound was gradually eliminated. Despite this, due to the classic process, the equipment is simple, easy to operate, less investment, can be adapted to local conditions, and has the advantages of being fast, so there are still many small production plants in use. However, the classic process flow is long, the metal recovery rate is low, the waste is large, the cost is high, the quality of the product is poor, the labor intensity is high, the environmental pollution is serious, and the comprehensive recycling is not possible, which is incompatible with the modern industrial production requirements.
Classic process:
The classic process for extracting molybdenum is shown in the figure below. He is composed of main processes such as concentrate roasting, ammonium leaching, purification, acid precipitation, ammonia dissolution and crystallization. [next]
