Implementing scientific and technological innovation projects to promote the development of national agricultural science and technology

On April 10th, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences held a comprehensive progress meeting on science and technology innovation projects. 19 collaborative innovation tasks such as “Analysis and Utilization of Crop Gene Big Data”, “Northeast Black Land Protection”, “Integration Innovation of Planting Industry Green Production and Efficiency Technology” and “Chinese Food Engineering Technology Research” were deployed and launched. Tang Huajun, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Tang Huajun emphasized that the implementation of scientific and technological innovation projects is an important means for the national agricultural science and technology to enter the forefront of the world, an urgent need to support the structural reform of the agricultural supply side, and an objective requirement for the construction of a world agricultural research institute. All research institutes should focus on the key points, focus on the discipline layout, and focus on the important needs of the international science frontier and the agricultural supply side structural reform; focus on promoting collaborative innovation, and gather the strengths of the whole hospital to carry out collaborative research and strive to achieve major achievements in key areas. Breakthrough; focus on strengthening team building, build a team of scientific research talents; focus on improving the evaluation system, stimulating and mobilizing the innovation and vitality of science and technology personnel in the whole hospital; focusing on the use of funds and focusing on major issues. The institutes must work together, carefully organize, and work together to push the science and technology innovation project to a higher level.

In order to promote the comprehensive and in-depth implementation of science and technology innovation projects, Tang Huajun put forward three requirements: First, to reconsider and enhance the sense of responsibility of promoting the implementation of science and technology innovation projects. All units of the hospital should implement the science and technology innovation project as a national-level science and technology strategic project, and carry out various tasks at a new starting point.
