On November 9, Inner Mongolia Mengda New Energy Chemical Base Development Co., Ltd. produced an engineering plastics project with an annual output of 500,000 tons, and laid the foundation for the construction of Wushenzhao Chemical Project Area in Wushenqi, Ordos City.
The engineering plastics project is a construction project jointly controlled by China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Yuanxing Energy Co., Ltd., and controlled by China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. The project uses Boyuan United Chemical Co., Ltd. to produce 1.2 million tons of methanol and Mengda Chemical's 600,000 tons of methanol as raw materials to build an annual production capacity of 600,000 tons of polyolefin devices. The scale of construction is an annual output of 300,000 tons of polyethylene, 300,000 tons of polypropylene, 72,700 tons of 2-propylheptanol, and 73,300 tons of other products. The total investment was 10.4 billion yuan, and the construction investment was 9.2 billion yuan. On January 12, 2011, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission was registered.
