SHANGHAI, CHINA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rhodia Rhodia exhibited a new series of modified polyamide 6 TECHNYL XT at Chinaplas, the 22nd China International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition held at Shanghai New International Expo Center. The extrusion and blow molding industry demands higher productivity and energy saving in polyamide processing.
Thanks to its unique rheological properties, TECHNYL XT high-productivity polyamides offer excellent processing quality without sacrificing material properties. Compared with traditional polyamide 6 materials, TECHNYL XT has the same mechanical properties, heat resistance and chemical resistance, as well as greatly improved impact resistance.
The processing temperature required by TECHNYL® XT is approximately 20°C lower than that required for general polyamide 6. This feature brings a number of benefits: reduced energy consumption, which shortens the cooling cycle and increases the number of production turns. So far, TECHNYL XT has been tried by several different customers and shows superior product quality stability, and can reach a molding yield of up to 40% higher than the standard.
This new series is the first to be introduced: TECHNYL C502XT, TECHNYL C507XT (heat-stabilized), TECHNYL C52XT (fire rating UL-V2) and TECHNYL C536XT (blow-molded), used exclusively for extrusion and blow molding applications. Developed with an integrated solution system. Its applications range from bellows, cans, to motorcycle fuel tanks and power tools.
TECHNYL XT has the following properties that mold suppliers and OEMs are most interested in: high process stability, consistent wall thickness, lower extrusion temperature, excellent high impact resistance and high rigidity, optimized weight, good Barrier properties, UL-V2 fire rating and aesthetics.
