Under the two-way support of policies and funds, the robotics industry has ushered in. However, for a technology, talent, and capital-intensive industry, not every place can develop. As a result, the result will be a waste of resources, leading to flooding of domestic low-end products, and eventually dragging down the development of the industry.

Is the Chinese robotic industry now in the "Red Sea" or "Blue Ocean"? It seems inconclusive.

In the draft of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” announced at the two national conferences, robots were frequently mentioned. As a strategic emerging industry, the robotics industry is also seen as one of the new dynamics of China’s economic growth in the future.

Over the past few years, the national level has attached great importance to the continuous increase of a series of policies, coupled with the huge demand arising from the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, to jointly promote the Chinese robot industry to stay on the air.

According to the data, in 2014, the sales volume of industrial robots in the Chinese market was about 57,000 units, an increase of 55%, accounting for about one-fourth of global sales.

Both supply and demand have driven companies to whip up their capitals, and capital has been buzzing. However, the explosive growth also has hidden concerns, including the lack of core components and technologies, low product levels, disorderly markets, and severe homogenous competition.

The 21st Century Macro Research Institute believes that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the Chinese robotics industry will face a round of reshuffling. This process is also accompanied by more reasonable guidance of technological progress, market order construction, and policies.

We also believe that in the context of the “new economy”, the future robot industry still has a lot of room for development. In addition, from the perspective of investment, capital pays more attention to two aspects: one is to infiltrate the cultivation process of the core link of the industrial robot industrial chain; the other is to find the pain point of rigid demand for service robots.
