First mandatory product implementation of valve products

There are some problems that need to be solved and perfected in the domestic valve industry, and the same applies to products. The China National Machinery Industry Federation proposed the national new product standard “Minimum wall thickness requirement specification for valve housing” approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, and the national valve industry was formally implemented. This is China’s first valve Mandatory national standards for products.

It is understood that some companies in the production of valve products, ignore the product quality, and some in order to reduce costs and even cut corners, such as valve body wall thickness, self-modification of the wall thickness, plus the quality of the valve product shell A standard and feasible quality standard, the original standard is not perfect, and it poses a certain safety risk to the valve safety device. For this reason, the AQSIQ and the National Standards Committee drafted the national standard “Code for minimum wall thickness requirements for valve housings” last year.

The implementation of the first national standard for valve products will become a mandatory requirement to ensure the safety of product equipment and personnel. The main drafting organizations of this standard are Shanghai Nafushi Valves, Anhui Baihu Valves, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, Jiangsu Shentong Valves, Wuguo Valves, and Shanghai Lianggong Valves. The main drafters are: Yang Heng, Jin Chengbo, Chen Jiangshan, Zhang Yifang and others.

It is reported that the wall thickness of the valve housing is a safety index for valve products and specifies the requirements for the wall thickness of steel and iron valves such as gate valves, globe valves, check valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves, and diaphragm valves. Pressure PN10 ~ PN760, steel valves with a nominal size no greater than DN1250 and nominal pressure PN1.0 ~ PN25, iron valves with a nominal size no greater than DN3000.

Article 14 of the "Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates that mandatory national standards must be implemented. Products that do not meet the mandatory national standards are prohibited from production, sales, and imports. On the eve of the implementation of this standard, valve companies throughout China have been doing a good job in promoting publicity, rectifying and standardizing production inspection conditions, and fully implementing the preparatory work to ensure that the valve product quality meets the GB26640-2011 standard requirements.
